Text Box: Noe Trevino was born and raised in Houston, TX. He graduated from San Jacinto North College in Houston as a Paramedic and came to Austin in 1992 to pursue a medical career. During this time, Noe met his wife, Shalonda, and Noe’s career path started to change. He felt God calling him to be a minister. Noe and Shalonda married in November of 1993 and lived in the Austin area until 1996. They then moved to Jackson, MS to attend Jackson College of Ministries. Noe studied Theology and Missions and received his degree in Missions in 1999. He and his wife moved to Bryan, TX in June of 1999 and started working at Bryan United Pentecostal Church in several departments and capacities. They jumped in with both feet learning as much as they could from their pastor and his wife, Bret and Dedie Cooley. They participated in everything from cleaning the church to going on a missions trip to El Salvador. In April 2002, God blessed them with their first daughter, Victoria and in January 2004, their second daughter, Savannah. They have had a burden for a long time to come back to the Austin area to start a church. They are now doing just that. In March of 2007, Higher Ground Tabernacle was born and God has worked miracle after miracle since then.

Shalonda (Nash) Trevino was born in Beaumont, TX and raised in Sour Lake, TX where her parents pastored a church for 20 years. She went to the University of Texas in Austin, TX where she met her husband, Noe. They married in November of 1993 and lived in the Austin area until 1996. They then moved to Jackson, MS to attend Jackson College of Ministries. Shalonda studied music in its many different facets. She toured with a nationally known choir and choral group and learned to direct similar choirs. They moved to Bryan, TX in June of 1999 and started working at Bryan United Pentecostal Church in several departments and capacities. Shalonda immediately started helping with a large children’s musical for Christmas and become involved heavily with the music. In April 2002, God blessed them with their first daughter, Victoria and in January 2004, their second daughter, Savannah. She is the keyboardist and singer for Higher Ground Tabernacle and loves working with the children that God brings her way.
